Week 14

This week was another normal week I mowed Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday. Around greens and tee boxes. And on Wednesday I weed eated around all the ponds and the fence lines. 

Week 13

This week was pretty Normal filled with mowing tee boxes and greens. Wednesday I went to turf day and sold shirts and hats. On Friday I got the great idea to weed eat in shorts. 

 

Nothing like blood sweat and grass to make your day great! 

Week 12

This week was a pretty normal week all I did was mow tee boxes twice and on Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday I also mowed around greens too. Wednesday I weed eated around heads and did coolers then back lapped both mowers in the poring rain. Thursday I mowed tee boxes again. Friday I mowed around greens. 

Week 11

This week I mowed collars and tee boxes like usual but on different days I only mowed tee boxes on Tuesday and collars I mowed on Wednesday and Friday. We had a big storm come through on Wednesday and it flooded half the course. So on Thursday I went around with a backpack blower and blew off all the greens so we could mow. Then for the rest of the day I sanded the greens. On Monday I sprayed MSMA on dallisgrass I'm fairways and on tee boxes. 

Week 10

This week I mowed tee boxes TuTh. Did coolers MWF. Also mowed collars MF. On Wednesday I was asked to weed eat around both ponds we have and clean them up really nice in case it rains and they fill up. 

Week 9

This week was very important because the AJGA (arkansas junior golf association) was coming to the course this weekend. So I mowed tee boxes and collars twice and weed eated around all the sprinkler heads. Then I weed eated any dallisgrass in the fairway area. 

Week 8

This week I mowed collars and tee boxes. I weed eated around the tee boxes to make them look nice and back lapped both mowers. We also fertilized this week so I had the pleasure of using the rotary spreader and walking around greens to fertilize all the collars. 

Week 7

This week I moved tee boxes and did coolers I think that this is going to be my routine every week now. I learned how to mow collars and did not break any sprinkler heads. Then I spread round-up around most of our problem areas to cut out weed eating time. 

Week 6

This week was interesting. I mainly mowed tee boxes but the fun part was when we put bentonite clay in the pond to plug up all the leaks. I also repaired all the green by sanding damaged areas and fixing divot marks. 

Week 5

This week was crazy because we had a huge tournament this weekend from community first bank. I mowed tee boxes twice and weed eated the whole course to make it look really good. We needed to just make a fee touch ups. It rained a lot this week too. 

Week 4

This week was crazy because of all the rain. It rained so much I was left off early 4 out of the 6 days I worked. I was showed how to mow around collars and look out for sprinkler heads. I mowed tee boxes and did coolers. I also weed eated around the tee boxes and sprinkler heads. I had to weed all the flower beds to make them look nice. I back lapped all the mowers too. 

Week 3

This week I mowed tee boxes and fairways by myself. Did coolers MWF if the morning and picked up all the rocks in the bunkers after it rained. I also cut limbs on some of the trees so the tractor can get under them more easily. 

Week 2

This week was a pretty easy week. We grinded the big pull behind rotary mower blades then, back lapped all the other reel mowers. I mostly weed eated and did cooler this week. We also cleaned up the shop and I took apart some sprinkler heads for their parts. We also put up nets around the tennis court to cool it down during the hot summer days. I mowed tee boxes too. 

First week

My first week at HCC was crazy because it rained most of the days so I wasn't able to do a lot. I weed eated, mulched flower beds, and laid sod were the main projects I had this week. I have the job of coolers in the mornings now which is done two to three times a week. You go around to all the head houses and refill all the water coolers with ice and water for the golfers. Then Sunday I did coolers and refilled all the ball washers with cleaning liquid for a tournament.
